
Biography for Justin Alvarez
Justin M. Alvarez, Esq. is founder and shareholder of The Alvarez Firm, at which he focuses his practice on business and real estate transactions and estate planning.
Prior to establishing The Alvarez Firm, Mr. Alvarez served as Assistant General Counsel at Griffin Industries, a privately held homebuilder and land developer in Calabasas, California. At Griffin’s request, Mr. Alvarez continues, to represent Griffin Industries and its affiliates on a number of matters.
Before joining Griffin Industries, Mr. Alvarez was an associate at Gary R. King and Associates in San Juan Capistrano, California. There he assisted a variety of small and medium sized businesses and their principals with estate planning, business & real estate transactional matters, and claims and litigation handling.
Prior to joining Gary R. King and Associates, Mr. Alvarez was an associate for the managing counsel of the Suzuki Motor Corporation of America where he spent the majority of his time assisting in the oversight of the Suzuki v. Consumer’s Union (Consumer Reports) lawsuit related to allegedly false and misleading statements by Consumer Reports concerning the Suzuki Samurai.
Mr. Alvarez earned his Juris Doctor Degree and his Masters in Business Administration, (cum laude), from the University of Notre Dame in 2002. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California, a “Great Books” program conducted in the Socratic Method.
Mr. Alvarez lives in Thousand Oaks, California with his wife, Kelly and their five children Joseph, Cecilia, Maximilian, Thérèse and Katherine. Mr. Alvarez is also privileged to serve as the Treasurer and a Board Member for Birth Choice Health Clinics, a non-profit medical clinic providing assistance to women and couples that face an unplanned pregnancy, and Toby’s House, a homeless shelter for expectant mothers and their children. Mr. Alvarez is also active in his parish, St. Paschal Baylon in Thousand Oaks, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
